Champoeg Park Ride, 62 miles (with shorter options), gently rolling hills
The ride starts at Champoeg Park. Park in the lower lot (Oak Grove). We will head out toward Butteville and follow basically the same route from the old Spring Century Ride (toward Canby). Just a couple of hills at the beginning (ugh!) and then fairly level or gentle rolling hills through farm and nursery land. There is a city park in Molalla with restrooms, water and picnic tables. You can bring your lunch along or buy lunch in Molalla. There is a Subway next to the park, a pizza parlor, and a Mexican restaurant within a block. Molalla is about the halfway point.
After lunch, we climb -- but the view is worth it!. We head up Wildcat Road. It's a good climb, but only 2 miles with a level stretch in the middle. At the top, rolling downhill all the way to Marquam. The view is spectacular! From Marquam, it's pretty much level all the way back to Champoeg. Mileage is about 62. We will provide detailed maps for everyone so that those who wish to do a shorter or longer circuit, can. This is not meant to be a fast ride by any means. It's a good training ride for the Pioneer Century (old Spring Century) and the countryside is beautiful. We will provide treats at the end. Led by Jim & Rose Knauf 503-246-2252

Solstice Celebration
Meet at the Pittock Mansion to bring in the summer cycling season. Bring a picnic and a chair and plan to hang out to watch the moon rise over Mt Hood. If the summer of lazy evenings without rain has not arrived, we will try to go on June 21 instead. Call me if it looks questionable. This is NOT intended to be a cycling event.
